this competition so that the athlete/coach/meet official experience will be exceptional in both affordability, ease of
access and quality of accommodations and arrangements. We realize that all participants have options besides the
official accommodations but we are 100% confident that the “Official Hotel and Ground Transportation Package” will
be your least expensive and most enjoyable option for this championship weekend.

The Meet Hotel, the Adams Mark, is now booked for most of the weekend
of the
XC championships. Here are a few alternative downtown hotels
recommended by
the LOC for consideration:

Comfort Inn & Suites City Centre
Hyatt Regency
The Comfort Inn and Best Western offer the best deals and are located
4 and
5 blocks from the meet hotel, but the Hyatt is located closer to the
meet
hotel (one block).

Description
The secured rates above and the nature of these rooms/suites should make your
visit one of the best in terms of accommodations and price for the USA Cross
Country Championships. The rooms are very large and can easily accommodate five
people per room with the two queen beds and the queen sleeper couch that is in
each of the queen/queen suites. Limited numbers of queen/queen rooms are
available at a lower rate, and larger suites are also available at great rates
(event rates are listed above).
The meet hotel is 1,200 meters from the XC course and is 1,000 meters from
all event meetings and pre- and post-event activities, which will be held at the
National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS). Running or walking to and from
the XC course and NIFS involves crossing two streets and then following a canal
walkway.
You will not need local ground transportation to access any portion of this
meet or to reach the meet hotel from the airport. There will be easy and
frequent bus options (details forthcoming) to and from the course and airport
with respect to the meet hotel. You will also find many dining options
(including a grocery store) within 5 blocks of the meet hotel.
Access to the National Institute for Fitness and Sport’s Fitness Center
(60,000 square feet and a Mondo 200-meter track) will be readily available over
the race weekend. It is located 200 meters from the XC course and just
1,000 meters from the meet hotel.

Directions to the Hotel
From the Indianapolis International Airport
Take the Airport Expressway east away from the Airport to I-70 East. Take
I-70 East towards downtown Indianapolis. Exit I-70 at exit 79b (Illinois Street)
Follow the ramp which will turn you left so you are heading north on Illinois
Street. Proceed north approximately 1 mile into downtown. You will pass
underneath the Indianapolis Arts Garden (a large glass structure) at the
intersection of Washington and Illinois. The hotel is on the northwest corner of
the next intersection (Market & Illinois). Turn left (west) on Market and
the entrance to the parking garage is 1/2 block on your right.
From Chicago, IL (I-65 from the north):
Take I-65 South to Exit 113 (Meridian Street). At the end of the exit ramp
you will go through the first stoplight (Illinois Street) to the second
stoplight (Meridian Street). Turn right (south) on Meridian and proceed
approximately 1 1/2 miles to the heart of downtown. When you reach Monument
Circle (one way counterclockwise), turn right and go 1/4 the way around the
circle. Take the first right (Market Street) and go one block west on Market.
When you reach the first stoplight, you will see the hotel on the far right
corner of the intersection. Go through the light and the entrance to the parking
garage is 1/2 block on your right.
From Detroit, MI (I-69 from the north):
Take I-69 South to I-465 South (Exit 0). Take I-465 South approximately 7
miles to I-70 West (Exit 44) and head west towards downtown Indianapolis. As you
approach downtown, take I-65 North. This will take you across the north side of
the downtown district. Exit I-65 at exit 113 and go through the first stoplight
(Pennsylvania Street). The second stoplight is Meridian Street. Turn left
(south) on Meridian and proceed approximately 1 1/2 miles to the heart of
downtown. When you reach Monument Circle (one way counterclockwise), turn right
and go 1/4 the way around the circle. Take the first right (Market Street) and
go one block west on Market. When you reach the first stoplight, you will see
the hotel on the far right corner of the intersection. Go through the light and

From St. Louis, MO (I-70 from the west):
Take I-70 East towards downtown Indianapolis. Exit I-70 at exit 79b (Illinois

From Peoria, IL (I-74 from the west):
Take I-74 East. It will become Crawfordsville Road on the west side of
Indianapolis as it crosses I-465. Continue east on Crawfordsville Road for
approximately 2 miles. You will come to a stoplight where you will see the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway on your left. Veer left onto 16th Street and
continue heading east for another 4 miles to Meridian Street. You will pass the
course (on your right) just before Martin Luther King Jr. Street (about 3 1/2
miles from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway). When you reach Meridian Street,
turn right (south) and proceed approximately 1 1/2 miles to the heart of
downtown. When you reach Monument Circle (one way counterclockwise), turn right
and go 1/4 the way around the circle. Take the first right (Market Street) and
go one block west on Market. When you reach the first stoplight, you will see
the hotel on the far right corner of the intersection. Go through the light and
the entrance to the parking garage is 1/2 block on your right.
From Louisville, KY (I-65 from the south):
Take I-65 North to I-70 West. Take I-70 West to exit 79b (Madison Ave).
Proceed north on Madison Avenue to South Street. Turn left (west) on South
Street and go one block to Illinois Street. Turn right (north) on Illinois
Street and proceed north approximately 1/2 mile into downtown. You will pass
underneath the Indianapolis Arts Garden (a large glass structure) at the
intersection of Washington and Illinois. The hotel is on the northwest corner of
the next intersection (Market & Illinois). Turn left (west) on Market and

From Cincinnati, OH (I-74 from the east):
Take I-74 West to I-465 South. I-465 South to I-65 North. Take I-65 North to
I-70 West. Take I-70 West to exit 79b (Madison Ave). Proceed north on Madison
Avenue to South Street. Turn left (west) on South Street and go one block to
Illinois Street. Turn right (north) on Illinois Street and proceed north
