INDIANA INVADERS TO BE 19 STRONG
AT SEA RAY RELAYS THIS WEEKEND

(INDIANAPOLIS)
With three decathletes and twenty club members in
all, the Indiana Invaders will compete at the Scott Hartman Decathlon
and
Sea Ray Relays on April 12-15 in Knoxville, Tenn. The Scott Hartman
Decathlon will be contested April 12-13.
The Sea Ray Relays is the first major outdoor track and field meet of
the
season for the Invaders in preparation of the U.S. Olympic Trials on
July
14-23 in Sacramento, Calif.
Phil McMullen, who finished runner-up in the U.S. Indoor Nationals
Heptathlon, Brendon Falconer and Kamau Sullivan will compete in the
decathlon. McMullen is ranked first in the event with Falconer seeded
third and Sullivan fifth.

Other men competing in the meet are: Scott Lidskin (5,000),
Daren McDonough (pole vault), Todd Moroney (steeplechase), Jim Sellers
(5,000), Kirt Thompson (javelin throw), and Frankie Young (long
jump).
Invaders women competing will be: Kelly French (10,000), Tyra Holt
(pole vault), Lorilynn Hoffman (5,000), Angie Joy (discus throw), Julia
Laiuvara (400 hurdles), Collette Liss (1,500), Judy Porter (10,000),
Hope Sanders (800), Le'gretta Smith (400 hurdles), and Jamie Strieter
(javelin throw).
Lauivera (400), Sanders (800), French (1,200) and Liss (1,600) will
compete in the women's distance medley relay and Lauivera, Sanders,
Liss
and Le'gretta Smith will be paired together in the 1,600 relay.
