INVADERS DISTANCE ACES ON THE TRACK IN OREGON & BRITISH COLUMBIA

May 25, 2001
(INDIANAPOLIS) Indiana Invaders' Priscilla Hein will run the 800 at the Victoria International Track Classic Friday evening. The meet, hosted by the University of Victoria, will be held at Centennial Stadium, in British Columbia. Saturday Hein will be handling the pacing duties of the 1500 as the race rabbit for this Pacific Northwest Series stop. For Hein, the series will include three additional races before she returns to her home base in Indianapolis on June 6th.

Hein is currently qualified in the 800 and the 1500 for the 2001 USATF National Championships to be held in Eugene, Oregon (June 21-24).

Teammate Collette Liss will compete in the Prefontaine Classic's elite 3000 with a talented field taking aim at the meet record. Liss's race will be contested on Sunday, May 27 at historic Hayward Field.

Liss, a Valparaiso Indiana native, returns to Hayward Field after placing 6th in the 5,000 (15:51.73) at the Oregon Twilight two weeks ago in her outdoor season debut. Liss is currently qualified in the 1500 and 5,000 for the 2001 USATF National Championships in Eugene, Oregon (June 21-24).

Liss and Hein are two of 14 members of the Indiana Invaders that are currently qualified for the USATF National Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
