INVADERS' OLYMPIAN NATHAN TO DEFEND HEPTATHLON TITLE

(INDIANAPOLIS) Invaders' Olympian DeDee Nathan, the defending two-time
national heptathlon champion, will seek to defend her title at 2002 USA
Outdoor Combined Events Championships at Edwards Stadium & Goldman Field
on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley on June 19-20.
Nathan, the American Record Holder in the pentathlon, in winning
her second national title in 2001 also finished fourth at the
Goodwill Games and seventh at the World Championships. In 2000,
Nathan won the Olympic Trials and represented the United States
at the 27th Olympic Games in her first Olympic appearance after
3 previous World Championship appearances.
