INVADERS' GORDON & SANDERS HEAD TO GEORGIA TECH INVITATIONAL

(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders will be represented by Linise
Gordon (100H, 400H) and Hope Sanders (800) at the Georgia Tech
Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia this weekend.
Gordon, an accomplished hurdler from Ball State University, won
the heptathlon at the Drake Relays this season and finished eighth
in the 400 hurdles at the 2002 USA Outdoor Championships. Gordon
finished in the top three of four events at the 2002 USATF National
Club Championships (100H, 400H, HJ, and JT) in addition to leading
the Invaders to a team title in the 400 meter relay. Gordon is
looking to round into national qualifying form for the 400 hurdles
over the next couple of outings.
Sanders, a graduate of the University of Illinois and Warren
Central HS (Ind.), is a Four Time All-American and Big Ten Champion.
As a veteran USATF Championship competitor, Sanders has competed in
a number of national championships including three Indoor Championships
and the 2000 US Olympic Trials. The Head Coach for Indiana's Number 1
ranked girls high school team (Warren Central), is looking to post a
national qualifying mark at 800 meters in the next couple of weeks
as her high school coaching duties wind down for the 2003 season.
