Nathan (3476 points), trails by 141 points day one leader Kim

Gordon, struggled with a slow start in her first outdoor championship
in combined event competition, starting day one with a 14th place

Team Director Greg Harger said, "Gordon had a challenging first day
gaining critical experience for her future. She came into this thing
ranked 18th and has a chance improve a couple more spots on day two.
Nathan is within striking range of the current leader." Harger added,
"Nathan will be a challenger on day two in what we expect will be
a very close battle."
