INDIANA INVADERS ADD NCAA ALL-AMERICAN ALICIA MILLER

August 17, 2004
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders have added NCAA All-American Alicia Miller, of Indiana State University, to the team's roster. Miller has a career best of 53.09 in the 400 and 23.72 in the 200.

Miller, a graduate of Elkhart Central HS, finished 17th at the 2004 NCAA Indoor Championships and was third at the 2004 Drake Relays in the women's special invitational 400. As a two-time Academic All-American Miller was also a 10 time Conference Championship runner-up in the 400 and 200.

During Miller's senior year in high school she finished second, second, and third in the 100, 200, and 400, respectively at the 2000 Indiana High School State Championships. In 1999, Miller competed at the Indiana High School State Championships in the 100 (16th), 200 (5th), and 400 (9th).

Team Director Greg Harger said, "Miller has the talent and desire to reach the next level of competition in her events." Harger added, "We're excited to add another Indiana native to the roster. As we look toward the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, we are excited to support Indiana athletes like Miller that have the desire to represent the US internationally."

Miller joins a roster that includes 16 athletes that qualified for 2004 US Olympic Trials.
