INDIANA INVADERS ADD D-III ALL-AMERICAN TED TURNER TO ROSTER

November 10, 2005
(INDIANAPOLIS) The Indiana Invaders have added distance runner Ted Turner, a graduate of SUNY Geneseo and John Jay HS, to the team's roster. Turner has career bests of 14:22 in the 5000 and 30:09 in the 10,000.

Turner is a six-time DIII All-American in Cross Country, 14-time SUNYAC Champion, and 11-time New York State Champion. In high school, Turner led his team to THE 2000 Class A New York State Champion Cross Country Title.

Team Director Greg Harger said, "Turner has a vast amount of untapped athletic talent to draw upon. He's just beginning his adventure to discover how good he can become." Harger added, "His initial training is going extremely well and he's making great strides."

Turner joins a roster that includes 16 athletes that qualified for the 2004 US Olympic Trials.

The Indiana Invaders, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1998, presents an innovative approach to track & field by providing a resident-based, athlete-centered support system unique to the sport in the United States.
