- Where the $ Goes
Who: Indiana Track & Field athletes competing at a national and international class level and training for World, Olympic and USA National Team berths.

What: The Olympic Dream is the epitome of "The Pursuit of Excellence" and as such, knows no barriers or limitations based on social class, racial identity, ideology, theology, political affiliation, or gender bias. The benefits found in "The Pursuit of Excellence" applies to all those willing to accept the challenge.

Why: To represent the State of Indiana with living examples of human excellence to raise the expectations and aspirations of their fellow citizens by demonstrating to all what Indiana is capable of when existing resources and talents are focused in "The Pursuit of Excellence”.

When: Typically, anywhere from 4 to 12 years are required after college for an athlete to attain the levels of performance capability where a "Gold Medal Effort" is possible.

How You Can Win Gold: No athlete climbs atop the Champion's Podium without a ladder of support. You can be a rung on that ladder.

The Games Do Count
"We all know deep down inside that we are capable of excellence. Those who pursue The Games reassure us through their effort of that fact because they pursue excellence with Failure not as an option even while it always remains a possibility.

Statistically, based on countries of similar population to Indiana (such as Sweden, Greece, Cuba, Jamaica, Belarus, Lithuania, and Denmark ), we could expect to produce approximately 3.5 Olympic Medals in Track & Field per Olympiad from the state of Indiana. Over the past 16 years Indiana has averaged 2.5 Olympic Team members and NO medals for its residents.

BOTTOM LINE: Indiana has the facilities, the technology, the athletic talent, the financial resources, and the coaching resources, but we have not applied them with common energy in the Pursuit of Excellence."
