Director & Head Coach - Gregory J Harger
Under Coach Harger’s charge the Indiana Invaders have yielded an impressive and unprecedented number of athletes at USA Nationals in every event but one in just seven seasons of competition since the inaugural 1999 season. No other USA Track & Field Team can match the Nine USA National Team Titles garnered since 1999. In fact, no other USA Track & Field Team can claim national titles in both cross country and track & field. Along with the national team titles, Coach Harger’s Indiana Invaders have produced one World Indoor Champion & Gold Medalist, one World Indoor Bronze medalist, eight USA National Champions, one USA Olympic Team member, ten USA National Team members along with 132 USA National Championship qualifiers.
Coach Harger’s 25 years of coaching experiences cover the spectrum of track & field and include work with youth and masters athletes, NCAA Division I collegiate programs, and elite and elite development post-collegiate coaching.
Coach Harger competed in track and cross country at Central Michigan University. Undergraduate and graduate studies included extensive study in exercise physiology, sport nutrition, human performance, and sport administration at Ball State University and Indiana University.
Coach Harger also has event production and event management experience that includes most recently serving as the Meet Director for the USA World Cross Country Trials in 2004 along with acting as the founding Meet Director for the USA National Club Track & Field Championships from 2001 through 2004. Additionally, Coach Harger served as a Technical Manager for numerous championships including the Big Ten, NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Nationals, USA Outdoor Championships, USA Olympic Trials, and the Pan American Games.
